Weddings
A chance to make life-long commitments to one another, in the presence of the divine and your whole community.
Weddings, like all services of worship, include prayers, readings, and acts of thanksgiving. Some couples prefer a very traditional service, while others choose more contemporary expressions of their worship and their commitment. When you meet with our minister, you will have an opportunity to describe your plans and expectations and to work with the minister in shaping your service.
We marry people of all sexualities and genders. We love to celebrate love. We marry previously divorced people, we marry people of all faith traditions. We also do vow renewals!
Do I have to be a member of Kimbourne Park United Church to be married there? You do not have to be a member of Kimbourne Park to have a wedding here, but we would encourage you to come and meet the congregation and see who we are.
How involved will the minister be? Our minister will assist you with ceremony preparation for your wedding and will support you before the day and through your marriage.
Can I plan a wedding offsite? Services are typically held in the church. If you are seeking off-site services, please discuss your ideas with the minister.
Does your church provide a musician? In addition to our minister, our talented church music director may be available to play the organ or piano. Please remember to check that both are available before you confirm your date.
If you are considering Kimbourne Park for your wedding, give us a call. You can speak with our administrator and discuss your plans. We will check dates, discuss costs, answer questions, and arrange for you to meet with Rev. Emma.
